Thank you for visiting our homepage. Pelican Family Medicine is a small
family practice clinic started in 2001 by Dr M. Samuel Armitage.


In 2006 we opened our Satelite Clinic, Pelican Family Medical Clinic, located at 204 South Walker in Burgaw.

Since 2003 Dr Armitage has been joined by Pamela Baker, FNP-C and Cheryl Smith, FNP-C


  • Our goal is to help you and your family achieve the best possible health.

  • We are a full service practice, dealing with pediatric care, adolescent medicine,
    women's health, adult medicine, preventive medicine, and geriatric care.

  • Dr Armitage has special interest in weight loss counseling, diabetic care
    and education, preventive care and health care screening, and the treatment
    of common dermatologic problems.
